Royal deathworm

The royal deathworm, also known as the crowned deathworm or subterrian deathworm, is, as you probably guess, a worm like creature that burrows through the ground. This subterrian seems to have evolved from land dwelling creatures, to become suitable for digging. The mouth parts, when closed, form a wedge, which aids in pushing through tons and tons of dirt and ground. This subterrian, surprisingly, is mostly a scavenger, stealing kills from weaker carnivores by scaring them off. It is believed that the thick flaps of skin surrounding the mouth is used to make it look bigger and more intimidating. These flaps fold back when tunneling. The royal deathworm will hunt if it has too, relying on stealth to grab prey and pull it through the ground.
